Starting September 29, 2026, assets from Binance Card, Gift Card, and Pay will be credited to Spot Accounts, while Stocks Accounts will not be used for payments and Funding Accounts will temporarily remain as a payment source until removed.

From the same date, Funding Accounts will discontinue on-chain deposits; other crypto deposits and withdrawals will move through Spot Accounts, and six settlement assets—USD, USDC, USDT, USD1, U, and BNB—will be used for stock-related trades via the renamed Stocks Account.

Users will have a One-Click Migration option to proactively move assets, with unmigrated assets shifted automatically in batches beginning in January 2027.

API references should be updated to replace Funding Accounts with Spot Accounts; P2P advertisers will keep Funding Accounts as the default source until December 2026, when a new P2P Account will be introduced for advertisers.

Migration spans from September 29, 2026 to January 2027, with exact dates announced later; Funding Accounts will be renamed to Stocks Account at the migration’s end to settle stock and stock-options trades.

Binance is migrating user assets from Funding Accounts to Spot Accounts to streamline account structure and asset management.

In Convert, open Limit Orders with funds in Funding Accounts will settle to Spot Accounts after September 29, 2026; expired Limit Orders and new Limit Orders from that date will settle exclusively into Spot Accounts; Recurring Orders will settle to Spot or Earn Accounts, and failed refunds will return to Spot Accounts.

Recurring send plans that rely solely on Funding Accounts will stop executing after Funding Accounts are removed as a payment source.

For Binance Alpha 2.0, stablecoins used in Alpha token limit orders will be debited/credited from Alpha Accounts starting September 29, 2026, with rebates from the Limit Order Liquidity Providers Program credited to Alpha Accounts.
