Russian hacking groups, Cozy Bear and Midnight Blizzard, targeted and breached Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and Microsoft's cloud-based email systems.

The breaches were discovered in December 2023, but data had been accessed since May 2023.

HPE links the attack to a previous incident involving Cozy Bear.

Both breaches have been reported to authorities and are under investigation.

HPE states the breach had no impact on operations and Microsoft confirms no customer data was compromised.
