Tickets for the Sapporo event are now on sale, with premium options selling out quickly, and prices range from about $13 for single-day passes to over $107 for full packages, some of which are already sold out.

The event's return is highly anticipated, with last year's champions being Go Next Esports, and EA’s Head of Esports, Monica Dinsmore, praising Sapporo’s successful hosting record and expressing excitement for the Year 5 finale.

The regional finals for the ALGS Championship 2026 will be held on October 11-12 across four regions—APAC South, APAC North, EMEA, and the Americas—with winners earning direct qualification to the main event in Sapporo.

These regional finals will determine the 40 teams competing in the main tournament, which features a $2 million prize pool and is mostly composed of teams earning points through ALGS Year 5, with some receiving direct invites.

The championship is scheduled for January 15-18 at the Daiwa House PREMIST DOME in Sapporo, a venue that previously hosted the 2025 championship, which drew over 540,000 peak viewers and was among Japan's most-watched esports events.

Attendees should consider Sapporo's cold winter climate and plan accordingly, as well as note that the venue is accessible via subway and JR lines.

The regional finals will feature specific schedules for each region on October 11-12, leading up to the main tournament in January.
