At the recent New York Comic Con, Marvel announced an exciting new event titled 'Spider-Verse vs. Venomverse,' set to launch in May 2025.

During the 'Spider-Man and His Venomous Friends' panel, it was revealed that Eddie Brock will take on the role of the new Carnage.

As the Venom movie saga comes to a close with 'Venom: The Last Dance' premiering on October 25, the film will depict Eddie and Venom facing a critical decision while being hunted.

This film continues the story of Eddie Brock and the Venom symbiote, following two previous standalone films.

This announcement was made on October 20, 2024, during a panel dedicated to Spider-Man's universe.

The new 'Spider-Verse vs. Venomverse' event will be penned by Charles Soule, illustrated by Jesus Saiz, and will feature a cover by Iban Coello.

The Venomverse has previously seen spinoffs and sequels, including 'Edge of Venomverse' and 'Venomized,' and was recently revived with 'Venomverse Reborn.'

Marcel also teased the introduction of Knull, the creator of the symbiotes, as a significant character in future Marvel narratives.

In the upcoming storyline, Spider-Man will confront a formidable opponent connected to Cyttorak, the powerful being known for empowering the Juggernaut.

The trailer for the new Spider-Man storyline showcases his enhanced abilities and hints at mystical origins involving themes of death and rebirth.

Tom Hardy, who has portrayed Venom for six years, recently met co-creator Todd McFarlane, highlighting the character's journey from comics to the big screen.
