April 24, 2025
In a recent interview with BBC 6 Music, Carner revealed that his son, who appears on the album cover, was involved throughout the recording process and often joins him on tours.
A world tour is also planned for the latter half of 2025, beginning with a European leg from September to early November, before heading to Australia and North America.
Carner, who has received accolades including the Best British Solo Artist at the NME Awards in 2018, continues to be a prominent figure in UK hip hop since his debut in 2013.
Loyle Carner's upcoming album, titled 'hopefully !', aims to delve into themes of fatherhood, childhood, and alternative music, showcasing his growth as both a singer and producer.
This album is designed to cultivate a positive message, inviting listeners to explore more personal aspects of Carner's life.
Carner has already previewed the album with two singles, 'all i need' and 'in my mind', which reflect his introspective style and address themes of overcoming doubt.
Beyond music, Carner advocates for dyslexia and ADHD awareness and has founded the Chilli Con Carner cookery workshops to support these causes.
Additionally, he will headline the Other Stage at the Glastonbury Festival on June 27, 2025, marking a significant moment in his career.
To support the album, Carner will embark on a massive UK tour starting in November 2025, featuring four consecutive nights at London’s O2 Academy Brixton and stops in major cities like Cardiff and Dublin.
The North American leg of the tour is scheduled for February and March 2026, covering cities such as Chicago, Toronto, and Boston.
The new album, set for release on June 20, 2025, follows his successful 2022 project 'Hugo', which earned him a Mercury Prize nomination and was influenced by his experiences as a new father.
In addition to his music career, Carner is making his acting debut in the BBC drama 'Mint', directed by Charlotte Regan, which explores the dynamics of a crime family.
