Sublime is set to release a new original song titled 'Ensenada' on July 18, 2025, marking the first single featuring Jakob Nowell as the band's frontman.

This track will be part of Sublime's upcoming album, their first since the self-titled release in 1996 following the death of original frontman Bradley Nowell.

Produced by Jon Joseph at Harbor Martyr Studios in San Pedro, California, 'Ensenada' is highly anticipated and reflects a blend of classic Sublime sounds with Jakob's personal experiences.

Jakob Nowell has shared that the lyrics of 'Ensenada' draw inspiration from his encounters with love and emotional struggles, utilizing absurdism as a coping mechanism.

He expressed that working on the song was emotionally challenging, feeling his father's presence throughout the creative process.

The new single follows their previous hit 'Feel Like That,' which marked the band's first top 10 hit on alternative radio since 1997, showcasing Jakob's successful transition into the role.

In addition to the single release, Sublime will perform at the Vans Warped Tour in Long Beach, California, on July 26-27, celebrating nearly 30 years since their original lineup participated.

The band will also host a multi-night event called 'Fear, Loathing, and Sublime' in Las Vegas from August 14-17, featuring live performances and exclusive fan experiences.

2025 is shaping up to be a busy year for Sublime, with numerous headlining shows and festival appearances planned to promote their new album.
