Riot Fest 2025, celebrating its 20th anniversary, will take place from September 19 to 21 at Douglass Park in Chicago, headlined by iconic bands Green Day, Weezer, and blink-182.

The festival will feature over 90 artists, with notable acts including Weird Al Yankovic and Alkaline Trio.

The late-night shows will start at 10 p.m. each night during the festival weekend, featuring acts like Alkaline Trio, Marky Ramone, and Bouncing Souls.

Pre-sale tickets for the aftershows will be available starting August 6, 2025, at 10 a.m. CDT, with general sales beginning the following day.

Riot Fest has secured a new three-year agreement to remain at Douglass Park through at least 2027, ensuring ongoing investment in the venue and local community engagement.

Venues for the aftershows include The Vic, Bottom Lounge, and Empty Bottle, featuring performers like Dehd, The Academy Is..., Senses Fail, and the Sex Pistols.

Some of the notable aftershow performances include The Damned with The Bell Rays on September 18 and Alkaline Trio with Militarie Gun on September 20.

A highlight of this year's festival will be the return of The Didjits, performing their first shows since 2016 in honor of their late bassist Doug Evans.

In addition to the main event, the festival will host aftershows across Chicago from September 17 to 21, showcasing a variety of punk and alternative music acts.

Festival founder Michael Petryshyn envisioned bringing together his favorite bands for the inaugural event in 2005, which has since grown into a major independent festival.
