The Royal Mint has issued a Freddie Mercury commemorative coin set, featuring him mid-performance with a musical stave symbolizing his four-octave range and an armband inspired by his Live Aid look.

The collection includes a 2oz Gold Proof Coin limited to 30 units, a £5 Brilliant Uncirculated coin, and other editions, with the gold proof destined for donation to the Mercury Phoenix Trust.

Mercury’s sister Kashmira Bulsara helped strike the first coin at the Royal Mint.

Media assets accompanying the release include a photo and logos, with links to view the original multimedia content and download imagery.

The vinyl reissue of Mercury’s work has been newly mixed by Justin Shirley-Smith and Joshua J Macrae to stay faithful to his original vision while leveraging modern technology.

In addition to the new mix, the vinyl reissue includes liner notes and insights from the production team.

The 1985 album will arrive on 180-gram translucent green vinyl in the U.S. and Canada via Hollywood Records, with Universal distributing other regions, and a direct-to-consumer exclusive picture disc LP.

The reissue is slated for release on December 5.

The tracklist for Mr Bad Guy is detailed, with Mercury credited as writer/composer and co-producer alongside Reinhold Mack and the production team.

The 40th-anniversary vinyl edition features a tracklist including Try It On, Made In Heaven, I Was Born To Love You, Foolin’ Around, Your Kind Of Lover, followed by Mr Bad Guy, Man Made Paradise, There Must Be More To Life Than This, Living On My Own, My Love Is Dangerous, and Love Me Like There’s No Tomorrow.

Mercury reflects on the album’s variety of moods and its role in revitalizing his work outside Queen.
