Renowned digital artist and crypto investor Jack Butcher is launching a new NFT collection on Ethereum, scheduled for release on September 17, 2025, at 12:00 PM ET.

This collection is created in partnership with Art Blocks, a platform known for generative art where algorithms produce unique artworks upon minting.

Titled Gas Wars, the collection marks Butcher's return after over a year and features 499 unique pieces, released in two phases.

The first phase, called 'Survive,' is an auction that extends if bids are received in the last five minutes, encouraging strategic bidding.

The second phase, 'Simulate,' offers remaining pieces for 500 seconds with variations in simulation parameters, emphasizing quick access and competition.

Gas Wars is a networked generative artwork inspired by survivorship bias, exploring themes of destruction and survival through a competitive, simulated environment.

Jack Butcher is known for his minimalist, visually striking graphics that distill complex ideas, with notable projects like Checks and Opepen involving community participation and responses to social issues.
