August 20, 2024
HyperX has announced the launch of the QuadCast 2 and QuadCast 2 S gaming microphones, representing a significant upgrade from their predecessors.
The QuadCast 2 features impressive audio recording capabilities of up to 24-bit / 96 kHz, while the QuadCast 2 S offers an even higher quality of 32-bit / 192 kHz, making it the top choice for consumer USB gaming mics.
The QuadCast 2 retains its original all-red color scheme but has been redesigned for easier microphone removal with improved shock mounts.
In contrast, the QuadCast 2 S incorporates addressable RGB lighting, featuring over 100 customizable aRGB LEDs to enhance its visual appeal.
Both microphones offer over 16 million color combinations, allowing users to customize their setup for streaming and content creation.
User interaction has been simplified with a streamlined multifunction control dial that manages gain adjustment, volume control, mic monitoring, and polar pattern selection.
Additionally, both models include a redesigned multi-function knob for mic gain control, headset playback volume, and switching between four selectable polar patterns.
Key features of the microphones include a tap-to-mute sensor, four selectable polar patterns, and a bundled shock mount/stand combo.
The microphones also incorporate AI-based noise reduction technology to enhance audio clarity during use.
Users can further customize settings, including LEDs and audio features, through HyperX's NGENUITY software.
The QuadCast 2 is priced at $149.99 and is currently available, while the more advanced QuadCast 2 S will launch in November for $199.99.
In addition to the microphones, HP is set to release the HyperX Alloy Rise 75 wireless keyboard, which boasts an impressive battery life and will be available in October for $230.
