Rivian Unveils RAD Tuner for 2026 Models: Customize Your Drive with 16 Custom Profiles
July 8, 2025
Rivian is launching a new feature called RAD Tuner for its 2026 R1T and R1S models, enabling extensive customization of vehicle performance.
Owners can create, modify, rename, delete, or reset up to 16 custom drive profiles, including high-profile modes like Hill Climb and Desert Rally.
This innovative feature will be available as a free over-the-air software update in September, accessible via the vehicle’s touchscreen, marked by an icon resembling an equalizer.
The system features an intuitive interface with sliders and preset options for functions like stability control and steering weight, which have limited settings.
RAD Tuner allows users to independently adjust 10 variables, such as acceleration, regen, brake assist, steering assist, ride height, torque balance, wheel slip, stability control, damping, and roll stiffness.
Developed by Rivian’s Adventure Department, which focuses on innovative projects like race trucks, RAD Tuner aims to give owners the ability to tailor their driving experience to specific preferences or conditions.
Chief Software Officer Wassym Bensaid highlighted that RAD Tuner is designed to unlock the full performance potential of Rivian’s vehicles, providing precise and personalized control over vehicle behavior.
