Garmin has unveiled the Instinct Crossover AMOLED, its most advanced hybrid smartwatch that combines rugged outdoor durability with a vibrant AMOLED touchscreen.

This new model features military-grade durability, including 10ATM water resistance, MIL-STD protection, a metal bezel, sapphire glass, a built-in flashlight, and a battery life of 14 days.

Designed to appeal to both outdoor enthusiasts and fitness fans, it blends G-Shock-like ruggedness with Garmin's health tracking capabilities.

Currently, the Tactical Edition is available only in a black color option, offering additional military features.

A notable trade-off is the reduced battery life from 28 days in previous models to 14 days, mainly due to the power demands of the new AMOLED display.

The watch starts at $649, with the Tactical Edition priced at $749, which adds military features like ballistics, stealth mode, and night vision compatibility.

While the battery life is shorter than the original Instinct Crossover, which lasted 28 days, it now offers enhanced GPS tracking with 29 hours of GPS use, surpassing the previous 25 hours.

The watch weighs 67 grams, measures 15mm in thickness, and is available in charcoal and bronze/sunburst colorways.

Despite the digital upgrade, the watch retains traditional analog hands with glow-in-the-dark elements, maintaining a stylish, 'proper watch' aesthetic.

The Tactical Edition includes features like a dimmable LED flashlight, multi-band GPS, 4 GB of storage, and specialized military functions such as night vision mode and Jumpmaster mode.

Additional wellness tools include Garmin’s Lifestyle Logging, enabling users to track caffeine and alcohol intake to better understand their health metrics.
