Revolutionary Hololuminescent Displays: Glasses-Free 3D Holography for Every Professional Need
September 17, 2025
This new series of high-resolution, glasses-free 3D holographic displays is designed to resemble traditional monitors, easing adoption and integration into existing workflows.
Building on a history of holographic innovations since 2018, Looking Glass has developed various products, including desktop models for 3D modeling, smaller versions compatible with iPhone cameras, and a versatile 3D image file format.
The displays use proprietary hybrid technology that embeds holographic layers to add three-dimensional volume to digital objects, supporting live, animated, or traditional 2D videos.
These holographic displays are compatible with standard hardware and workflows, supporting signage, 3D rendering, and presentations, and can be used with software like Cinema 4D, Unity, or Adobe Premiere Pro for content creation.
Looking Glass has unveiled the Hololuminescent Display (HLD), a revolutionary holographic screen technology that transforms standard video into 3D holograms without XR headsets or eye-tracking, making holography more accessible.
The system allows users to record subjects against green or white backgrounds and convert footage into holographic content, facilitating easy integration into the displays.
All variants feature a portrait 9:16 orientation, emphasizing vertical display capabilities suitable for signage, presentations, and creative applications.
Available in three sizes—a 16-inch 1080p monitor ($1,500), a 27-inch 4K monitor ($3,000), and an 86-inch 4K display ($15,000)—these screens are designed for various professional and creative uses.
Pre-orders are now open, with the 16- and 27-inch models expected to ship in November and December, respectively, and the 86-inch model arriving in February; buyers of the largest model receive a free 16-inch display.
