Kojima Productions has unveiled a new trailer for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, inviting players to explore, connect, and survive in its expansive world.

This sequel continues the narrative from the original game, picking up ten months later and offering an extended storyline that could last over 70 hours.

Players will once again follow protagonist Sam, portrayed by Norman Reedus, as he navigates challenges in search of human connection.

The game features returning cast members Léa Seydoux and Troy Baker, alongside new additions including Elle Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna, and director George Miller.

Hideo Kojima is currently on a global tour to celebrate the game's launch, with the next stop in Sydney, Australia, having occurred on June 14, 2025.

Death Stranding 2 is set to launch on June 26, 2025, with early access available for pre-orders of the Collector’s Edition or Digital Deluxe Edition starting June 24.

The final trailer, which is complete, will also be released on the same day as the game's launch.

While the final trailer is expected to be shorter than the previous 10-minute version, it aims to generate intrigue without revealing key story details.

The new trailer features 180 shots, suggesting a wealth of new gameplay content, although it does not heavily focus on the storyline.

The Social Strand System returns, allowing players' actions to influence interactions within the game world for both themselves and others.

Players will face both human adversaries and supernatural enemies, with various strategic gameplay options available, including aggression, stealth, or avoidance.

In addition to Death Stranding 2, Kojima is working on two more upcoming games, titled OD, a horror game, and Physint, a spiritual successor to Metal Gear.
