Asus is set to release the ROG Ally X handheld gaming PC on June 2.

The new device will boast enhancements in storage, RAM, and battery life, with an increase of over 40%.

Upgrades will include M.2 2280 SSD support and a resolution to the previous SD card issue.

The ROG Ally X will continue to utilize the Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor.

Unlike its predecessor, the new handheld will be designated with an 'X' to mark its advanced capabilities.

The original ROG Ally, competing with Valve's Steam Deck, doubled as a portable gaming PC and desktop via docking.

Asus remains a key player in the competitive handheld gaming PC market alongside Valve, Lenovo, and MSI.
