BetBoom Team swept Aurora Gaming 3-0 to win PGL Wallachia Season 8, securing the championship.

Aurora Gaming advanced to the grand final with a 3-0 Swiss run and earlier beat South American Rejects and Parivision in the upper bracket, setting up the rematch.

BetBoom showed dominant form throughout the event, going 3-0 in Swiss, defeating Team Spirit 2-0 in playoffs, then closing out the grand final with a decisive win over Team Liquid in the lower bracket before the final rematch.

Aurora finished as runners-up and earned US$150,000.

Mikoto struggled in the series as BetBoom targeted him to blunt Aurora’s mid-game impact, highlighting mid-lane challenges in modern Dota.

BetBoom’s win comes as they peak ahead of The International, following a mixed start to the 25/26 Dota 2 season.

Aurora’s season showed improvement with a first at FISSURE Universe Episode 8 and an runner-up at DreamLeague Season 28, but they still seek a top-tier 2026 title.

Kiritych emerged as BetBoom’s top-tier carry, stepping into big shoes after Pure’s departure.

The tournament took place in Bucharest, Romania, from April 18–26, 2026, featuring 16 teams and a $1 million prize pool.

BetBoom earned $300,000 for first place; Aurora received $175,000 for second.
