Analogue3D Firmware Update Adds New Save-State System 'Memories' for Seamless Gameplay
May 16, 2026
Analogue has released firmware update 1.3.0 for the Analogue3D, introducing a Memories save-state system that lets players save at any moment and resume later.
The Memories feature, first debuted on Analogue’s Pocket, is now available on the Analogue 3D, focusing on save states with no requirement for a traditional save point.
The update also preserves compatibility with the full 900+ N64 cartridge library and original accessories, including the Transfer Pak and Pokémon Stadium’s GB Tower.
New hotkeys have been added to create and load Memories for both 8BitDo controllers and original N64 controllers, with specific mappings provided.
The same hotkey functionality applies across 8BitDo 64 controllers and the standard Analogue 3D controller, with clear button mappings.
Patch notes detail general, core, OS, and controls changes, and confirm that Memories works for both cartridge and flash-cart-loaded games.
Memories are per-game in the 3DOS Library and can be managed, with each game supporting up to 20 Memories; oldest saves auto-delete unless pinned.
Memories can be accessed via the in-game menu or library, and pinned saves are protected from automatic deletion.
The update includes No Pak option when switching virtual Paks with wireless controllers, along with fixes to save management, boot behavior, and controller-specific issues.
Performance improvements accompany the update, including faster menu navigation when switching ODMs/virtual Paks and several save-management fixes.
8BitDo 64 BT controllers require firmware update to version 2.05 or later to ensure compatibility with Memories.
Memories maintain hardware accuracy and preserve compatibility with original accessories, enabling saves across different Controller Paks.
