Argonaut Games is remastering Croc 2: Kingdom of the Gobbos for modern platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and GOG.

The project targets a late-2026 release window, with the game coming to Switch and other consoles, and there is talk of potential future support for Switch 2.

No exact launch date has been announced yet for Croc 2: Kingdom of the Gobbos.

A new trailer has been released to showcase the remaster’s progress.

Croc2Pedia is reintroduced as Crocipedia, a museum-like in-game archive with development materials, cut content, and interviews to illuminate the game's history.

Croc 2 expands the journey with more varied stages and challenges, including a pursuit of his parents and encounters with guardians like Soveena the Squid.

The Platinum Edition address trophy/achievement issues from the original remaster, adding a comprehensive trophy set.

The remaster also reintroduces Croc2pedia as an in-game archive featuring never-before-seen development materials and developer interviews.

Core gameplay is preserved while visuals and controls are upgraded, following the approach of the previous Croc remaster.

The narrative follows Croc’s quest to find his long-lost parents, facing arch-nemesis Baron Dante who is resurrected by the Dantinis, as he rescues Gobbos across four villages.

Release timing and physical editions will be announced later in the year, with a Q4 2026 window currently referenced but no specific date.
