The Sandbox Studio Beta has been rebuilt on Engine 14, replacing the legacy Actor/SceneComponent framework with a unified SceneNode system that lets any node serve as a placeable scene root.
Multiplayer replication now uses ReplicationGroup channels and supports client-targeted spawning, enabling servers to create objects visible only to specific players for use cases like instanced loot, private puzzle states, or per-player UI elements.
Genesys MCP Server implements the Model Context Protocol, enabling AI-driven scene editing with concurrent mutations and hinting at support for third-party AI agents operating directly on scene graphs.
Two new templates—Side-scrolling and 3rd-person Action—expand Studio’s reach beyond voxel building, adding features such as multi-object selection, mesh merging, and improved navmesh for nested scenes.
