K/DA returns with a comeback single, FIRESTARTER, released on October 18, featuring SOYEON and MIYEON of i-dle as Akali and Ahri, alongside new collaborators Mimi Webb and Sophie Powers as Kai’Sa and Evelynn.

The release marks six years since K/DA’s last drop, with Riot Games and Fortiche delivering a runway-ready, high-production video to accompany the track.

An official music video accompanies FIRESTARTER, and the rollout preludes a new EP of the same name slated to drop on October 21, 2026.

The video emphasizes high-fashion styling with ballroom-inspired choreography and cinematic visuals that amplify the track’s bold energy.

Riot Games’ involvement is highlighted, with fans joking about Riot reviving their bands as part of a broader push into music production.

The piece situates Firestarter within Riot’s expanding virtual universe and ongoing Fortiche collaboration, aiming for both fan service and mainstream appeal.

Leaks and ASCAP references contributed to the track’s lineup details, though official confirmation continues to roll out.

Fortiche’s animation blends 3D CGI with hand-painted textures and 2D elements, incorporating in-game visuals like Ahri’s charm and ultimate as choreographic nods.

There’s anticipation for a Remix Rumble–style moment at Worlds and for further Riot music-group collaborations, echoing past TFT crossovers.

Credits acknowledge Riot Games, Virgin Music Group, and agency Omnicom as of mid-October.

Riot’s virtual music projects continue to expand beyond K/DA, with Heartsteel, True Damage, Pentakill, and recent Worlds collaborations signaling a new wave of content.

The visual narrative centers on transformation, with imagery of coffins, gasoline, and flames symbolizing destruction and rebirth.
