In September, Russian President Vladimir Putin participated virtually in the BRICS summit hosted by Brazil, where member countries discussed cooperation in trade, finance, and investment amid ongoing global economic challenges.

During the summit, India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar emphasized the need to stabilize the international economy, address conflicts impacting the Global South, and push for reforms in multilateral institutions, aligning with shared economic priorities among BRICS nations.

Putin highlighted that Russia aims for its economic growth rate to surpass the global economy, emphasizing the importance of developing industries, regions, and foreign partnerships, as well as adopting advanced technologies to achieve this goal.

He also stressed that the stability of Russia's public finances and the success of national projects depend on a robust domestic economy that can outperform global growth.
