August 14, 2024
The United States Curtis Cup team roster has been finalized following the 124th U.S. Women’s Amateur at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The 43rd Curtis Cup will take place at Sunningdale from August 30 to September 1, 2024.
The Americans are aiming for their fourth consecutive victory, leading the overall series with a record of 33 wins, 8 losses, and 3 ties since the matches began in 1932.
This year's U.S. team is notably young, with Rachel Kuehn being the only player with prior Curtis Cup experience.
Rachel Kuehn has been selected for the Curtis Cup team, making her the lone returning player from the 2022 matches.
Kuehn, a 23-year-old Wake Forest graduate, is the first player since Virginia Grimes in 2006 to compete in three consecutive Curtis Cup teams.
Asterisk Talley, at 15 years old, is the youngest member of the U.S. team and had an impressive summer with multiple wins and strong finishes.
Jasmine Koo, an incoming freshman at USC, recently finished fourth in the Augusta National Women’s Amateur and was the 2023 Women’s Western Amateur champion.
Anna Davis, the 2022 Augusta National Women’s Amateur champion, will also join the team for her first Curtis Cup appearance.
Zoe Campos, ranked No. 4 in WAGR, is the highest-ranked player on the U.S. team and had a standout season at UCLA.
Melanie Green qualified for the team after winning the British Women’s Amateur and making the Round of 32 at the U.S. Women’s Amateur.
She secured the winning point in the last two matches at Merion and Conwy in Wales.
