LIV Golf's 'The Duels' Teams Pros with YouTube Stars in Exciting New Event
March 26, 2025
This initiative is reminiscent of the PGA Tour's 'Creator Classic', which has expanded from a single event in 2024 to multiple events in 2025.
However, the event will not include popular LIV golfers such as Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, or Brooks Koepka, who may be featured in future events.
The most recent Creator Classic took place at TPC Sawgrass, where Grant Horvat emerged as the winner.
LIV Golf is set to launch an exciting new event called 'The Duels' on April 5, 2025, which will pair professional golfers with popular YouTube content creators.
This innovative event will consist of six teams, each made up of one LIV Golf professional and one YouTube golfer, competing in a 9-hole scramble format.
The event will be filmed during LIV’s Miami week at Trump Doral and is scheduled to debut online the following Saturday.
Wesley Bryan, primarily known as a YouTube golfer, has a notable professional history, including a victory at the RBC Heritage in 2017.
The Duels is part of LIV Golf's strategy to engage with the rapidly growing audience of golf content creators.
Notable pairings for the competition include Phil Mickelson teaming up with Grant Horvat, Sergio Garcia with George Bryan, and Bubba Watson alongside Luke Kwon.
It's important to note that LIV Golf events are classified as non-sanctioned by the PGA Tour, meaning that members must seek permission to participate.
