Ping recently released a limited edition G440 LST driver, which has generated buzz among golfers and is rumored to be used by Tour players in 2025.

Although the driver can help reduce high spin and improve control for some players, it may not be suitable for those with slower swing speeds, as some, including the author, find it challenging to generate high ball flight.

A limited stock of 7.5° heads is available for custom builds, so interested players should act quickly before they sell out.

The G440 lineup improves upon the previous G430 model by providing easier launch and maintaining a penetrating ball flight, with the 7.5° head filling a gap for lower loft options.

The G440 LST driver features an optimized design with the deepest center of gravity in a Ping driver, a shallower, thinner face for increased ball speed, and innovative sound and weight distribution to enhance performance and forgiveness.

While not the lowest spin driver available, the G440 LST offers a forgiving profile with stable spin retention and consistent ball speed on off-center hits, thanks to the Spinsistency Face Design.

Tour research shows that adding heavier weights, up to 35 grams, in the rear of the G440 drivers increases MOI and ball speed, while helping to lower spin and launch.
