PXG Unveils 2026 Lightning Lineup: Advanced Drivers and Woods with Frequency Tuned Face Technology
December 2, 2025
PXG unveils the Lightning lineup for 2026, expanding the range with four drivers, two fairway woods, and a hybrid, all designed to boost performance and fit for a wide array of players.
At the core is Frequency Tuned Face, a technology that optimizes face flexion, ball compression, sound, and feel by tuning the club head’s modal frequency and reinforcing the carbon fiber sole with a back ridge.
Early testing and fitting experiences from PXG media events and personal trials highlight favorable results with the Tour Mid and a variety of shaft options during fittings.
The Lightning Tour Mid is a new core head designed to fit a larger segment of players, offering lower spin and a flatter launch, with strong tester and fitter feedback from events.
Players will notice a notably loud sound and deep tone with solid center strikes, while off-center hits provide clear feedback on performance.
Pricing is set at $649 for drivers, $379 for fairway woods, and $329 for hybrids, with fitting options available at True Spec stores.
PXG invites players to get fitted for their 2026 bag and provides a True Spec link to schedule fittings.
The lineup increases carbon fiber content and uses Spined Sole technology to boost MOI and enable more strategic weight placement, with significant MOI gains across models like Tour Mid, Tour, and Max 10k+.
Acknowledging past Black Ops underperformance, PXG positions Lightning as a competitive upgrade and aims to establish PXG as a true full-bag competitor alongside Callaway, TaylorMade, and Titleist.
