Patients Know Best (PKB) has launched a nationwide GP data integration service in England, enabling adult patients to store and manage their GP health data in a single personal record platform.

Since its soft launch in May 2025, over 900,000 patients have opted to store their GP records using this service, which requires an NHS login.

Any adult in England can access their GP data through PKB by logging in with their NHS credentials and selecting 'Get my GP data', with more features expected later this year.

This integration aims to enhance patient control over health information, improve collaboration among healthcare providers, minimize medical errors, and ultimately lead to better health outcomes.

Moreover, the integration addresses information gaps within the NHS, promoting safer care coordination for patients.

PKB enriches the GP data with SNOMED CT codes that categorize conditions and medications, creating a comprehensive data set that can facilitate automated patient support in the future.

The NHS App, enhanced by PKB, allows patients to view their GP data and share their health records with family, carers, and healthcare professionals worldwide.

Mohammad Al-Ubaydli, CEO of PKB, emphasized that this integration provides true national coverage, complementing the 20 million test results already released monthly through hospital partnerships.

To scale its platform and expand internationally, PKB secured £6 million in funding in January 2025 and has formed partnerships with health tech companies like PocDoc and Holly Health to improve patient access to health services.
