A high-profile ENACT Majlis in Abu Dhabi gathered more than 100 global leaders from energy, technology, and finance to discuss integrated solutions that combine energy and artificial intelligence to spur global growth.

Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, met with leaders across energy, AI, advanced tech, sustainability, and investment during the ENACT Majlis.

The ENACT Majlis, staged at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre, centered on the theme Energy & AI: Expanding Global Growth and sought practical solutions for growth and sustainable development.

Looking ahead, ENACT highlighted a potential quadruple in data-center electricity demand by 2040, driven by urbanization, more electric cooling, and rising aviation, signaling the need for major energy, tech, and policy alignment.

A White Paper outlining the Majlis’s key findings and recommendations for energy-AI integration and cross-border collaboration was announced for publication.

Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber stressed an all-in approach to ensure reliable baseload energy, modernize infrastructure, implement supportive regulations, and build an AI-enabled workforce to power tomorrow’s economy.

He also underscored that energy and AI are twin engines of socioeconomic growth and called for investment in energy infrastructure and cross-sector collaboration with governments.

Participants discussed meeting rising energy demand, scaling infrastructure, and creating pro-growth policies and investment incentives to fund AI and energy projects.

The dialogue explored scalable infrastructure through integrated approaches, addressing workforce and policy needs, and regulatory incentives to attract capital for combined AI-energy ventures.

Conversations focused on secure, sustainable energy supplies to support AI advances amid increasing data-center demand and urbanization, with data-center needs projected to reach 450 GW by 2040.

HH Khaled reaffirmed the UAE and Abu Dhabi’s commitment to strengthening collaborations and partnerships to harness innovative solutions benefiting local and global economies and sustainable development.

Participants included government ministers, corporate leaders, and experts from government, global firms, and leading academia, all collaborating to drive economic growth and shared global interests.
