Leaders stated these strategies align with Abu Dhabi’s 2050 vision to build a resilient, sustainable emirate, with climate-conscious goals and smart, future-ready infrastructure.

Key elements of the water plan include diversifying sources, building resilient infrastructure, smart metering and monitoring for efficient use across sectors, and protecting groundwater reserves.

Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Water Strategy, approved by the Department of Energy, aims to secure water supply, upgrade infrastructure, and cut costs through advanced technologies and AI, aligning with climate resilience.

The Healthy Living Strategy, overseen by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, promotes healthy eating, physical activity, a health-supportive environment, and uses data and AI to inform preventive health policies.

Chaired by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the meeting highlighted two major strategies—the Healthy Living Strategy and the Integrated Water Strategy—targeting health and water sustainability.

Khaled bin Mohamed chaired an Abu Dhabi Executive Council meeting that prioritized social programs, health initiatives, and infrastructure upgrades to strengthen communities and future resilience.

The strategy includes empowering residents with policies on balanced nutrition, regulated food marketing, and infrastructure to promote physical activity, alongside public-private collaboration to raise health awareness.

The Executive Council approved rules allowing the transfer of residential grants by gift among Emirati citizens, limited to spouses and first-degree relatives, to strengthen family bonds and social cohesion.
