UAE Cabinet Greenlights AED 2.54 Billion Housing Boost for Emiratis by 2025

The UAE Cabinet, chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, approved 3,567 Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme decisions in 2025, totaling more than AED 2.54 billion for Emirati citizens.
The 2025 approvals include 524 grants, 623 government housing loans, 32 grants/benefits, and 2,388 housing financing decisions, all aimed at expanding housing options for families.
Overall, the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme's 2025 approvals surpass AED 2.54 billion in value.
Officials frame the initiative as a clear demonstration of leadership commitment to delivering quality housing and boosting family stability for UAE citizens.
The program’s approvals are designed to strengthen housing stability and support Emirati families through a mix of grants, loans, and financing solutions.
The approvals include President grants from Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan alongside government loans and financing decisions.
In the fourth quarter, the package included two President grants totaling AED 1.3 million, 31 government housing loans worth AED 25.2 million, eight government housing grants/benefits valued at AED 6.4 million, and 558 housing financing decisions amounting to AED 445.1 million.
The approvals were chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
UAEGOV confirmed the 2025 housing approvals exceed AED 2.5 billion in a tweet that accompanied the announcement.
In Q4 2025 alone, 599 housing decisions were issued, totaling AED 478 million.
