Trevor Bauer, the 2020 NL Cy Young Award winner, has been authorized to play in the Mexican League by Diablos Rojos club president Othón Díaz.

Bauer's clearance comes despite his suspension from MLB for breach of the domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse policy.

He is scheduled to participate in five games for the Diablos Rojos, one of which includes an exhibition against the New York Yankees.

Bauer has not faced criminal charges and has completed the imposed MLB disciplinary actions.
