Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Brandon Woodruff will miss the entire season as he recovers from shoulder surgery.

Woodruff, who had surgery on his right shoulder last fall, is targeting a 2025 return to baseball.

After being non-tendered, Woodruff secured a two-year contract with the Brewers worth $17.5 million in February.

The Brewers' pitching lineup is further impacted by the trade of Corbin Burnes and will now depend on Freddy Peralta as the starting pitcher.

The team faces additional challenges with the departures of executive David Stearns, manager Craig Counsell, and closer Devin Williams, who is out with back fractures.

Despite these setbacks, the Brewers are still contenders for the NL Central title, which would be their third in four years.
