Walker Buehler, Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher, is returning to major league play on Monday after a near two-year absence due to Tommy John surgery.

Dave Roberts, Dodgers Manager, announced Buehler's return following a victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Buehler, a two-time All-Star, has not pitched in a major league game since June 2022 and is coming back from his second Tommy John surgery.

In the 2021 season, Buehler was one of the premier pitchers in baseball, suggesting his return could be a significant boost for the Dodgers.

Following an extended rehabilitation period in Triple-A, Buehler is slated to take the mound against the Miami Marlins.
