The San Francisco Giants have placed Jorge Soler on the 10-day injured list due to a right shoulder strain.

Soler's placement on the injured list is retroactive to Sunday, following his absence in the last three games.

At the time of his injury, Soler was hitting .202 with five home runs and 8 RBI.

Heliot Ramos has been recalled from Triple-A Sacramento to replace Soler on the roster.

Ramos, a first-round draft pick in 2017, was batting .296 with eight home runs in 30 games at Triple-A this season.

Giants manager Bob Melvin indicated Soler's shoulder injury requires rest, as it affects his swing.

Ramos has a .158 average in 34 previous major league games with the Giants.
