Milwaukee Brewers' first baseman Rhys Hoskins suffered a strained right hamstring during a May 13, 2024 game.

Hoskins' injury occurred as he was rounding first base after a hit, and is not related to his prior season-long injury.

The Brewers have placed Hoskins on the 10-day injured list, with Owen Miller called up from Triple-A to replace him.

The team has backup options for first base, including Jake Bauers, Gary Sánchez, and Miller.

Hoskins, with a .233 batting average, nine homers, 27 RBIs, and an .814 OPS, will have an MRI to assess the injury's severity.

Despite the injury, the Brewers are leading the National League Central with a 24-17 record.
