Ranked as the number 10 overall minor league prospect, Caglianone is now just one step away from joining a major league roster.

The Royals are currently struggling offensively, ranking last in Major League Baseball with only 30 home runs and 27th in runs scored.

Given the Royals' offensive challenges, there is speculation that Caglianone could be called up to the Major Leagues as soon as this summer.

Despite concerns over his significant strikeouts, Caglianone led the Texas League in hits and RBIs and ranked third in home runs prior to his promotion.

His upcoming debut could potentially tie the Gators for the most former players on MLB rosters at nine.

Jac Caglianone, a former Florida baseball player and the Kansas City Royals' top prospect, has been promoted to Triple-A Omaha after an impressive performance at Double-A Northwest Arkansas.

He is set to make his Triple-A debut on May 20, 2025, against the Salt Lake City Bees, the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels.

In addition to Caglianone's promotion, the Royals also moved Frank Mozzicato up to Double-A after he posted a remarkable 1.24 ERA in seven starts at High-A Quad Cities.

During his time at Double-A, Caglianone posted a .322 batting average, hit nine home runs, and recorded 43 RBIs in just 38 games.

Caglianone was drafted sixth overall by the Royals in the 2024 MLB Draft and has since focused on developing his offensive skills.

At 22 years old, he transitioned from a two-way player in college to concentrating solely on being a position player.
