The Miami Marlins activated third baseman Connor Norby from the 10-day injured list on August 29, 2025, after he recovered from wrist surgery for a broken hamate bone.

Norby, 25, had not played since July 11, 2025, due to wrist soreness initially diagnosed as inflammation, which was later confirmed as a fracture requiring surgery.

Before his injury, Norby was batting .241 with six home runs and 26 RBIs in 72 games, after missing the first three weeks of the season with a strained oblique.

To make room for Norby on the roster, infielder Maximo Acosta was optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville; Acosta had a batting average of .167 in nine games.
