All-Star catcher Will Smith of the Los Angeles Dodgers was placed on the 10-day injured list due to a bruised right hand, which is his first injury stint in the 2025 season.

Smith, 30 years old, has been an All-Star for the past three seasons and is batting .296 with 17 home runs, 61 RBIs, and a .901 OPS in 110 games this year.

His absence led the Dodgers to recall catcher Chuckie Robinson from Triple-A Oklahoma City to fill his spot.

Robinson had been optioned to Triple-A earlier in the week but rejoined the Dodgers following Smith’s injury, indicating roster adjustments due to Smith’s absence.

The Dodgers won their game against the San Francisco Giants with a score of 13-7, maintaining a 2.5-game lead in the NL West division.
