Mario Balotelli, a 34-year-old striker, is currently a free agent after leaving Genoa and is considering a career revival in Major League Soccer (MLS) or Liga MX.

TalkSPORT reports that Balotelli has attracted interest from multiple clubs, including Cruz Azul from Mexico, which previously contacted him last December.

Cruz Azul is keen on strengthening their attacking options, especially as current striker Giorgos Giakoumakis is expected to leave.

Los Angeles FC (LAFC) is also exploring potential signings to replace Olivier Giroud, who has joined Lille, with Balotelli being considered among the candidates.

LAFC has additional budget after qualifying for the Club World Cup but has not finalized their choice for a new striker amidst management changes.

In addition to Balotelli, LAFC is exploring other targets, including Bayern Munich's Thomas Muller and Tottenham's Son Heung-min, although both face complications due to high wage demands and interest from other clubs.

Balotelli's career has been tumultuous, having moved frequently over the last five years, playing for various clubs including Inter Milan, Manchester City, and Liverpool.

Despite his historical success, which includes winning the treble with Inter Milan in 2010 and playing a crucial role in Manchester City's first Premier League title in 2012, Balotelli's recent career has been marked by underperformance.

Last season, he played only six Serie A matches, averaging just nine minutes of playing time per appearance, which underscores his limited impact.

Despite these challenges, Balotelli has expressed no intention of retiring from professional football and is actively seeking opportunities to continue his playing career.
