Yarbrough arrives after his stint with Inter Miami and brings MLS and Liga MX experience, including time with Colorado Rapids and San Jose Earthquakes, and youth roots in the Pachuca system.

He began his career in the Pachuca system, later contributing to León’s Liga MX titles in Apertura 2013 and Clausura 2014, and compiled a long string of shutouts in his early career.

Across 120 regular-season MLS appearances, Yarbrough posted 34 shutouts and has most recently played for San Jose Earthquakes in 2024, with a brief stint at Inter Miami in 2025.

At 36, he joins Toronto FC as a free agent after serving as a backup at Inter Miami during their 2025 MLS Cup-winning campaign, adding valuable veteran leadership.

His MLS path includes time with Colorado Rapids, San Jose Earthquakes, and Inter Miami, and he has also earned international experience with clubs across the U.S. and Mexico.

The signing aligns with Toronto FC’s plan to develop its goalie depth behind Gavran and De Rosario, as Sean Johnson departed for D.C. United.

With Gavran expected to assume the No. 1 role, De Rosario remains a third option and Yarbrough’s presence is aimed at elevating the locker room standards and competition.

Toronto FC’s 2026 season opens on February 21 at FC Dallas, as the club aims to return to the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2020.
