Washington freshman Hannes Steinbach has been named Freshman of the Week for the 2025-26 season in CBS Sports/USBWA Frosh Watch, marking a standout start to his college career.

Steinbach followed up a 29-point, 10-rebound, 3-assist performance in a narrow loss to UCLA with a 24-point, 16-rebound, 3-assist game against USC, showing his prowess across scoring, rebounding, and distribution.

Steinbach is emerging as a top NBA Draft prospect, highlighting the Big Ten’s depth of elite freshman talent in recent discussions.

He has six games with five double-doubles and is averaging about 12.8 rebounds per game, underscoring elite interior impact.
