The NFL has been gradually revealing its top players since June 30, with two players announced daily, culminating in the top 10 list revealed on September 1.

Sam Darnold, now 28, has been recognized as one of the top players in the NFL, ranking 72nd on the 2025 NFL Top 100 list, and was named a Pro Bowler for the first time following a career-resurrecting season in 2024.

Last season, Darnold led the Minnesota Vikings to a 14-3 record, completing 66.2% of his passes for 4,319 yards, 35 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions, which significantly boosted his reputation.

In 2025, Darnold signed a three-year, $100.5 million contract with the Seattle Seahawks, where he is expected to replace Geno Smith as the starting quarterback.

Meanwhile, Kerby Joseph, 24, has established himself as a top defensive player, consistently recording at least 80 tackles and four interceptions over his three seasons with the Detroit Lions, and finishing sixth in NFL Defensive Player of the Year voting last year.

Joseph, who was drafted in the third round in 2022 and has played his entire career with the Lions, earned a First Team All-Pro selection in 2024, leading the league with nine interceptions and adding 12 passes defended and 83 tackles.

His impressive performance contributed to his recognition as one of the top players, and he is ranked 71st on the NFL Top 100 list.
