The NHL has announced its 2024-25 season award winners, with Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck and Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Nikita Kucherov leading the First All-Star Team after receiving overwhelming support from voters.

Both Hellebuyck and Kucherov secured first-place votes from 187 of the 190 voters, underscoring their elite performances throughout the season.

Cale Makar of the Colorado Avalanche also shone this season, winning his second James Norris Memorial Trophy as the league's best defenseman, scoring a career-high 30 goals and 92 points.

Makar's impressive performance made him the first defenseman to score 30 goals in a season since Mike Green in 2008-09, and he achieved back-to-back 90-point seasons.

The All-Rookie Team features standout players including Matvei Michkov from the Philadelphia Flyers, who led all rookies with 26 goals and finished second overall in points with 63.

Macklin Celebrini of the San Jose Sharks, the number one overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, also made a significant impact, scoring 25 goals and 38 assists in 70 games.

Dustin Wolf, the Calgary Flames' goaltender, had a remarkable rookie season, earning runner-up status for the Calder Trophy with a record of 29-16-8.

Cutter Gauthier from the Anaheim Ducks contributed significantly as well, scoring 20 goals and 24 assists in his first full NHL season.

The Second Team selections included notable players such as Vasilevskiy, Hedman, and Hagel from the Lightning, along with David Pastrnak and Leon Draisaitl.

The All-Star teams were determined by votes from the Professional Hockey Writers Association, reflecting the exceptional talent present in the league.
