India's Startup India initiative, under the DPIIT of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with CarDekho Group to bolster the startup ecosystem across sectors like mobility, fintech, insurtech, and emerging technologies, aiming to accelerate DPIIT-recognized startups.

This collaboration will leverage CarDekho's diverse platforms such as CarDekho, InsuranceDekho, BikeDekho, ZigWheels, PowerDrift, Revv, CollegeDekho, and Crack-ED to provide startups with market access, mentorship, and opportunities for collaboration and customer outreach.

The MoU was signed by DPIIT’s Director Dr. Sumeet Jarangal and CarDekho’s CEO Amit Jain, with senior officials from both organizations present, marking a significant step in fostering innovation.

A core focus of the partnership is connecting corporate expertise with startup innovation to develop solutions in mobility, finance, and sustainability, thereby creating new opportunities for collaboration and market entry.

Amit Jain emphasized CarDekho's commitment to co-creating with startups and driving impactful innovation, supported by DPIIT and the Startup India platform.

Startups will gain access to CarDekho’s leadership network for domain guidance and can explore co-investment opportunities through the Girnar Vision Fund to support their growth.

The partnership will facilitate hosting innovation challenges under the Bharat Startup Grand Challenge, focusing on promoting entrepreneurship in electric mobility, auto-tech, finance, and sustainability sectors.

Skill development initiatives will be launched in collaboration with CarDekho brands to enhance entrepreneurial and technical skills among startup teams, fostering a more capable startup ecosystem.
