California startup Rabbit Inc. unveiled a new AI-powered personal assistant device, the Rabbit R1, at CES 2024.

The Rabbit R1, priced at $199, runs on the proprietary rabbit OS and features large action model AI for handling complex requests.

The device includes a touchscreen, push-to-talk button, scroll wheel, WiFi, Bluetooth, speakers, microphone, and a rotating camera called Rabbit Eye.

The R1 is available for pre-order and the first batch of 10,000 units sold out in 24 hours.

The success of the Rabbit R1 in the competitive smartphone market remains uncertain, with questions about battery life and user training still unanswered.

There are speculations that Rabbit Inc. could be acquired by a mobile device maker in the future.
