Victoria Thomas Bowen, a 25-year-old OnlyFans creator, pleaded guilty to assault by beating and criminal damage for throwing a banana milkshake over Nigel Farage during his election campaign.

The incident took place on June 4, 2023, outside the Moon and Starfish Wetherspoon pub in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, as Farage was leaving after addressing supporters.

Prosecutor Nishma Shah revealed that Bowen acted out of disagreement with Farage's political views, which she expressed during her police interview.

Bowen admitted to acting impulsively and stated she did not intend for the milkshake cup to hit Farage directly, despite acknowledging it was an assault.

Deputy Senior District Judge Tan Ikram described the act as a 'violent and unprovoked attack' on a member of parliament, emphasizing the seriousness of the charges.

Bowen faces a potential jail term, with sentencing adjourned until December 16, 2023, and a pre-sentence report will be prepared to evaluate her case.

Following the incident, Bowen was arrested within 15 minutes as bystanders and the press pursued her.

Farage, who reported that the milkshake hit him in the face but did not cause physical injury, expressed concern about the incident occurring during a public campaign.

In a witness statement, Farage noted his disappointment that such actions took place during an event aimed at public engagement.

After her court appearance, Bowen continued to promote her OnlyFans page on social media, showcasing her defiance.

Initially denying the charges, Bowen changed her plea to guilty just before her trial was set to begin at Westminster Magistrates' Court.

The milkshake, identified as a McDonald's banana drink, caused approximately £30 worth of damage to a security officer's jacket.
