Nvidia Introduces 'Chat with RTX' AI Bot, Faces Early Hurdles
February 13, 2024
Nvidia introduces 'Chat with RTX', an AI chatbot designed to summarize documents and YouTube videos.
The chatbot requires users to upload documents for reference and supports multiple file formats.
A GeForce RTX 30 Series or higher GPU, at least 8GB of VRAM, and Windows 10 or 11 are necessary to run the application.
While free to try, 'Chat with RTX' has shown limitations in early testing, such as struggling with YouTube videos and lacking contextual understanding.
The installation is demanding, occupying about 40GB of storage and using around 3GB of RAM during operation.
Nvidia has not announced plans to make 'Chat with RTX' compatible with RTX 20 Series graphics cards or disclosed a final release date.
Nvidia is also holding a developer contest with rewards like a GEFORCE RTX 4090 GPU and an NVIDIA GTC event pass.
