A major signalling issue and a landslip have caused the cancellation of dozens of trains, leading to significant disruption for London-bound commuters.

The problems, including a widespread signalling failure and a landslip between London Paddington and Reading, have blocked two of four lines, affecting several rail services.

Great Western Railway and Elizabeth line services are impacted by the landslip, while Southern and Thameslink services are disrupted due to the signalling fault.

National Rail has issued a warning for passengers to expect delays and cancellations for the remainder of the day with the possibility of disruptions continuing throughout the week.
