A 31-year-old Sunshine Coast man faces 116 charges including child rape and indecent treatment.

The suspect allegedly preyed on minors online starting August 2023 and was apprehended in February.

He has been denied police bail and is expected to appear in court on March 18.

Charges also encompass possession and creation of child exploitation material, and drug supply.

Police have identified the children purportedly associated with the offenses.
