Robinhood has made its cryptocurrency wallet available to all eligible Android users worldwide, supporting various cryptocurrencies including Ethereum, Bitcoin, Dogecoin, and others.

The Android release follows the successful launch of the iOS crypto wallet in March 2023, which has been downloaded hundreds of thousands of times across over 140 countries.

With Android's 70% global market share in mobile operating systems, this expansion significantly broadens the potential user base for Robinhood's crypto services.

The wallet was previously in beta and is now open to everyone on the waitlist, indicating a transition from testing to full accessibility for users.

Robinhood's platform also enables direct trading of major and alternative cryptocurrencies, and its Robinhood Connect feature allows users to fund crypto purchases via the brokerage.

The company revealed $135 million in annual transaction revenue from crypto trading and holds over $14 billion in client cryptocurrency assets.

Robinhood has also introduced crypto trading services in Europe with no trading fees and incentives like Bitcoin rewards, increasing its international presence.

A partnership with MetaMask allows users to buy crypto on Robinhood and transfer it to their MetaMask wallet, bridging the gap between traditional finance and blockchain.
