An inquest has opened in Bristol concerning the deaths of three young siblings, Fares, Joury, and Mohammed Bash, who were found stabbed on February 18.

The children, aged 7, 3, and 9 months, sustained fatal knife wounds to their chests and necks; the eldest also exhibited signs of asphyxia.

The victims' father, Alfil Bash, mourned the profound loss, highlighting his son's talents and interests in football, singing, and math.

A 42-year-old woman is in custody on suspicion of the murders, currently detained under the Mental Health Act.

The police have initiated a self-referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct concerning previous interactions with the parties involved; however, no formal investigation was launched.

A community vigil was held to honor the memory of the children, and the official inquest has been postponed until the police conclude their ongoing investigation.
